True North Information Solutions is a specialist consulting practice with over thirty years of enterprise transformation experience across Australian government, healthcare, banking, transport and private sector organisations.
We operate at the intersection of programme delivery, ERP systems and emerging AI capability — combining deep technical knowledge with practical change leadership to deliver outcomes that last.
Clients include defence housing authorities, parliamentary services, airlines, banking and major health networks. We bring the same rigour and direct engagement regardless of scale or sector.
The Person Behind the Practice
True North IS is led by Martin McKern: thirty years of enterprise transformation across banking, health, aviation, mining and Australian government. Suncorp's Open Banking and New Payments Platform builds, Virgin Australia's Unify transformation, Defence Housing Australia's finance platform, and currently a $10M+ D365 ERP remediation and improvement programme at one of Australia's largest not-for-profit health groups.
I've reported to steering committees chaired by CEOs and CFOs, recovered troubled programmes, and retrained workforces of thousands. For twelve years I served on the board of PMI Queensland — four of them as President of its 800-member chapter.
I also build and run my own sovereign AI infrastructure. The AI governance advice I give boards was road-tested on my own systems first — including the mistakes.
